On Sunday, May 25, 2008, a tornado ranked EF-3, with wind gusts of 136 to 165 miles per hour, raked a path from the eastern edge of Lino Lakes, MN into Hugo, MN around 5:00 p.m., killing a two-year-old child and seriously injuring eight people.
