Testimonials

“As a DAP board member (who met you Monday night and had the photo op with you and my neighbor), I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts for what you did for DAP. Your enthusiasm was infectious, and you were the perfect MC. It was a wonderful event, and it was obvious how much effort you put into making it just so. Thank you from all of us on the Board.”

“Wow!  You’ve done it – something nearly impossible – causing an executive director to be speechless!  Thank you all again for a fundraiser that more than met expectations.  I have heard nothing but raves from  everyone who attended.  We all know the obvious successes – spectacular performances, a production that ran smoothly and money raised.  Let me share some of the not so obvious successes that may be overlooked:
- You added to DAP’s reputation as a first class organization.  There were members of the audience we work with daily – judges, prosecutors, police officers, as well as board members and community supporters.
- Your cast is not only extremely talented, but gracious and giving.    Members shared their personal connections to the work DAP does and generously tolerated introductions to fans who wanted to meet them and pictures taken.
- And most importantly, the funds raised will allow children like Jack and Lindagail to participate in a group where they can learn they are not alone, can tell the secret and be supported in knowing the abuse is not their fault.  Women paralyzed by emotional, psychological and physical violence will have a DAP advocate reach out to them offering support, safety planning and immediate resources to stop the abuse – and that help will come in their language (English, Spanish, Somali, Oromo, Kiswahili, Arabic…)
Thank you Richard for always saying “yes” when we need your help!”
